Quality & Environment

On December 23^rd 1998 PDM received an Integrated Pollution Control Licence from the Environmental Protection Agency in Wexford.

This was necessary to carry out the following activity:

•  The treatment or protection of wood, involving the use of preservatives with a capacity exceeding 10 tonnes per day

We are the only company in Ireland to have this licence for treating creosote.

In December 2002 PDM were granted ISO 14001 from the National Standards Authority of Ireland and are audited twice a year.

In December 2002 PDM were also granted ISO 9001:2000 quality award. We have now been granted the updated version of this quality system to ISO 9001: 2008. The national Standards Authority of Ireland audited twice a year also on our quality system and we have 6 quality meetings a year internally.

We have a company manual and environmental procedures for all the activities carried out on our site relating to the environment.

Procedures and work instructions are in place for all the activities that are carried out here at our facility.
